Today, on International SDG Day, our inspiring cyc Today, on International SDG Day, our inspiring cycling tour through the Netherlands during SDG Action Week also comes to an end. What a wonderful journey filled with connection, action and positive change!
Here are a few simple sustainable choices that anyone can make:
1.	Choose local and seasonal products: By buying locally, we reduce the CO2 emissions from transport and support local farmers and businesses. Additionally, seasonal products are often fresher and produced more sustainably.
2.	Reduce our energy consumption: Small changes, like using energy-efficient appliances and turning the heating down by a degree, can make a significant difference in the energy use and its impact on the environment over time.
3.	Less waste, more reuse: Avoid single-use products and opt for sustainable alternatives. Bring your own bag for groceries, use reusable water bottles and separate your waste for recycling.
4.	Use public transport, cycle, or walk more often: Reducing the use of cars, especially for short trips, helps lower greenhouse gas emissions. Opt for public transportation, cycling, or walking whenever possible to minimize your carbon footprint.
5.	Conserve water: Simple habits like turning off the tap while brushing your teeth, using water-saving fixtures, and fixing leaks can significantly reduce water waste. Additionally, consider collecting rainwater for gardening or other outdoor uses.
Sustainable living begins with every choice we make!

🚴‍♂️ Another inspiring day for #cycle4glo 🚴‍♂️ Another inspiring day for #cycle4globalgoals Today we biked through the beautiful nature of the Netherlands, connecting with people and the environment. Our journey brought us to SDG House Social Impact in Utrecht, where we met entrepreneurs and projects making exemplary contributions to social goals, circular economies, and collaboration.
Afterwards we cycled the Social Impact Route in Utrecht, discovering the city’s social entrepreneurs through this unique bike tour. It was an inspiring way to see how local businesses are driving positive change.
We ended the day at SDG House Doorn with an energizing brainstorming session for #climaterun 2025, exchanging ideas on how to further promote climate action.
This journey has reminded us that every pedal brings us closer to a more sustainable, inclusive world. So, let’s work together and embrace new ideas to reach the SDGs! Looking forward to the next adventure! #SDGs #GlobalGoals #cycle4globalgoals #socialimpact #CircularEconomy @SDGHouseUtrecht @SDGHouseDoorn
🚴‍♂️ #cycle4globalgoals continued its ins 🚴‍♂️ #cycle4globalgoals continued its inspiring journey from KIT Amsterdam to SDG House Omniversum in The Hague, where we explored the "Powerful Materials" exhibition, featuring a fun confetti cannon made from sustainable materials, symbolizing the playful and festive potential of sustainability. We even crafted edible cards from biodegradable candy paper, proving that waste can be turned into a tasty, joyful surprise! (The edible paper is made from plant-based materials.) At the #oneplanetexpo, we engaged with the 17 SDGs through interactive games and videos, learning how we can each contribute to a better world. 🌍
Next, at the @The Hague Humanity Hub, we participated in the #JustPeace Open Day and were deeply moved by the "Thinking of You" installation by Alketa Xhafa Mripa, symbolizing resilience and hope through dresses donated by survivors of sexual violence.
We then joined a workshop by @EqualTradeAlliance, discussing topics like fair trade between Africa and Europe. A meaningful step toward a more sustainable and just future! 🌱
Our day ended in Delft with #RomanianVibes, a heartwarming meeting with the Romanian community in the Netherlands.
In Rotterdam, we visited Bakkers Werkplaats Rotterdam a wonderful bakery that embodies social inclusion, dignity and sustainability. They prioritize using local suppliers, producing only what's needed to avoid waste and ensuring their projects are both socially and economically sustainable. People with a distance to the labor market work here with dignity, contributing to a more inclusive society.

Besides they learned Brazilian rhythms from Meiko Meissner, ending in a great group performance—showing how teamwork creates magic! 🎶
On Saturday, we cycled from the Sustainability Center in Deventer to the @Buitenpost in Twello, where local ingredients, homegrown produce and eco-friendly practices lead the way. 🌱 We then joined SDG Day in Apeldoorn for an insightful discussion on "Think Global, Act Local" with local councilors. Finally, at Geofort, we participated in an inspiring session with the Ministry of the Future, where we even became ministers of the future! ✨

In Groningen, passionate people from @SDG House Groningen introduced us to the creativity and energy where young minds flourish through initiatives like #Zircus, created by students of Rainbow Community Noorderpoort. At @SDG House Drenthe in Hoogeveen, we had meaningful conversations with Alfa-College students about sustainability in the automotive sector. 🚲 Heading to the next destination—each pedal brings us closer to a more sustainable future! #SDGActionWeek #SDGs #Cycle4GlobalGoals Gemeente Leeuwarden @SDG Nederland #GlobalGoals
